Our Happy News!!

The day before Father's Day we found out that Zach and I are expecting a baby! We were very excited!! After having tried for over two years I had pretty much given up hope that I would ever be able to conceive! On Father's Day we told my parents and brother and sister-in-law....my mom screamed for at least a full minute!! haha Shortly after we got off the phone with them my sister-in-law, Lauren called to ask if it was ok if they shared their happy news that day too. They had found out that morning that they were expecting!! So we got back on the phone and got to listen to them tell my parents! That was a fun day! My dad said it was his best Fathers Day ever! Mom said he wouldn't take his glasses off for the rest of the day (cuz he was crying) We went over to Zach's parents for dinner that night and told them over dinner. They were VERY excited as well!! Both parents were begging to know how soon they could begin telling people. We made them wait until I had my first appointment with the Doctor. That was on June 29th. After that the news spread very quickly! haha Everyone has been so excited for us! On Thursday I went into the Doctors because of some bleeding I was having. They put me on bed rest until this coming Friday. So I am a lady of leisure. :) I liked it the first day but it is quickly becoming old.

Zach has been doing a fabulous job of taking care of me and I just know I'm gaining way to much weight from all the good food he is making me! He has done such an amazing job making sure that everything is taken care of! I do have to tell two funny stories. The first one is of him cleaning the bathrooms. If you know my husband, you know that he is a hard worker and he will do almost anything to help me around the house, but he draws the line with dusting and the bathrooms. So on Saturday when he informed me that he had just cleaned both of our bathrooms I was very impressed. Later over dinner with his parents we were talking about it and I asked him if he was able to figure out which sponge I use for the toilet and which one for the sink. He gave me a funny look and said, "well there was only one sponge upstairs to use" At this point his parents are dying laughing and it was just made even better when he finished with, "But I cleaned the toilet BEFORE I did the sink!" We all just died laughing!! Thank you honey for doing your best to take care of me and our house! The other thing that happened goes back to something that happened awhile ago. Some of you may remember when I was gone for several days and Zach left the oven on the whole time at 425 degrees. This time he only left it on for a day and it was only on low....he says he is getting better at least. :)

Seriously though, we have been very blessed by all the prayers from everyone!! We are praying that our baby is ok and that if not that God will give us the strength to handle it. We know that God loves him/her (my dad insists that its a girl, I say a boy, Zach says a girl and look at how much trouble she is already :) ) more than we do, which is so hard to comprehend! God has a plan for our lives and we are doing our best to be ready for whatever the Lord has for us! Again, thank you all for your prayers!! They mean so much to us and to our baby!!!

P.S. I did throw out the sponge and will get a new one for the bathroom sink. haha
