The Flood

The last few days we have gotten a large amount of rain! Because of that many roads are flooded and some people have been forced to evacuate their homes. Youth Group was canceled tonight because the road to the church was closed because it was covered in water so Zach and I decided to drive around and take pictures so that our friends and family that do not live around here can see the flooding that has happened! Just in case anyone from home is tempted to worry, our house is far enough away that we are not affected by the flooding other than inconvenience of taking different roads to work. Please do pray for those that have lost belongings or been displaced form there homes temporarily. In this picture you can see where the road starts and where the water starts to cover the road. This is by the cemetery where we walk often.

This is normally a small river that runs behind this house, now it is all the way up to the house.


This is a road a few blocks from our house. To the right is a field that is totally covered in the water and then coming out onto the road.

This is the bridge that I am now being detoured over on the way to work since the road I normally take is closed. I cant believe how high the water is and how quickly the water is moving!
